What We do
Remodeling & Additions
Our company specializes in remodeling and adding onto existing structures. Shaw Construction has excelled at remodeling and adding onto existing homes, regardless of the age making a seamless transition from old to new construction. This is a very delicate process with many factors and unforeseen on site changes. For those reasons we do not bid remodels and additions, and stick to a cost plus contract that is a simple time + materials formula. We invoice monthly all the costs up to that point, and when the job is complete there is a final bill which sums up all costs of the project, + an agreed % to cover profit & overhead.
New Residential Construction
We build fine custom homes for our clients on their property from the ground up. Every aspect of your exciting project will be taken care of from the initial permitting phase, to final inspection before move in. If you would like us to consider building a home for you, please send us a pdf of your construction documents, and we will work up a rough square foot estimate. Keep in mind it will be a cost + contract due to the volatility of the construction market.

Not only do we have experience remodeling your average home, but we have an extensive portfolio of Historical restoration work on many older more delicate homes in Downtown Murfreesboro’s historic district. Bringing a 100+ year old home into the 21st century is a fun and exciting process, although very delicate and labor intensive. We have the experience and to preserve the character of your old home. We can help you navigate the city Historical board and their requirements dealing with your older homes and businesses.
